Luxemburg

963-998: Siegfried I "is mentioned for the first time in a document issued by German King, Otto I, in 949 (950) when he transferred to Sigefrid as advocatus altaris ( or monasterii) the cloister of Echternach as a fief of the tmpire. He owned scattered properties in Feulen, Hosingen, Monnerich, in the Pagus Wabrensis, in Sarreburg, at Berncastel and Roussy in the Pagus Mosellanus.
